Vegan Pulled Pork In Pitta Bread

Image
Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 30th of May 2022 This is as close to a kebab as I can get.  The vegan pulled pork is pretty good and the whole thing is tasty and filling.  Pork used to be a favourite of mine years ago, so this recipe was something I was glade to come up with.  I had heard of jackfruit being used as pulled pork before, but I have not seen a recipe for it.  I had home-made chips and home-made pitta bread with it.

How To Be A Greener Christian

Image
Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 27th of May 2022 Christians and Jews are among the most Earth couscous people i know.  Perhaps it is down to the popularity of science in the Church or the need to show respect to God's creation, but being green and environmentally friendly is like the eleventh commandment among long-term practising Christians. Therefore, if you are new to Christianity being green is as important as anything else otherwise you are going to look odd.  With this in mind, what are the top things you can do to be that green Christian that sets the standards?

Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 9th of May 2022 Did you know that lemon is said to ward off depression? Yes, lemon is a happy fruit, so if you need cheering up and you are partial to a piece of cake, this is one that you should try. It is easy to make and tastes fantastic with a lovely light lemon flavour. The sponge is nice and light with a pleasant lemony taste. In addition, the lemon drizzle is made with powdered sugar to excite those taste buds even further.

Vegan Pitta Bread

Image
Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 2nd of May 2022 Pitta bread is so good and very easy to make.  You can make white or brown pitta bread then cut it open and stuff it with any filling that you like.   You can make it with any kind of flour, but I find it is best with strong bread flour because it gives a better texture.  This recipe is for the wholemeal bread, if you want the white, just replace the strong wholemeal with strong white bread flour.

Daniel Fast Unleavened Bread

Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 25th of April 2022       Looking for a bread you can have on a Daniel fast?  This simple unleavened bread will do for the fast.  Since no sugar is permitted on a Daniel fast, I used sultanas to sweeten it up a bit and added some herbs for more flavour.  If you don't know what a Daniel fast is, read the blog Daniel Fast Handbook .

English Sultana Bread

Image
Written by McDonald, T.   |  Update 10 of March 2023     This modern English bread is like a combination of Hot cross buns and Italian Raisin Bread.  It has big fat juicy sultanas with a subtle mixed spice flavour of Hot cross Buns and, let's not forget, a wonderful crust.  The bread is light and fluffy.  As it bakes in the oven, it releases a fantastic aroma into the kitchen and beyond.  Once you have made this bread, you can just cut a piece off and have it as a snack with some butter and jam.  Enjoy!

Easter Oats: Hot Cross Bun Flavour

Written by  McDonald, T.    |  Date 11th of April 2022 This is a simple, but tasty recipe that really surprised me at how good it is.  It has all the good bits that a hot cross bun would offer in that it has mixed peel, sultans and even mixed spices.
