It is also the perfect recipe for Jewish new year, so bookmark this recipe for the New Year!  Whatever your reason, this cake is a delight.

This is great as a dessert or a little treat at the weekend and will keep for weeks in the fridge in an airtight container.

Soda bread gets its name from the bicarbonate of soda, which is used instead of yeast. This bread is great on its own, with some jam or just with some butter. St Patrick's Day is on the 17th of March this year (2022). 

Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 11th of March 2022 I had heard a lot about these on social media and decided to try them.  The thing that put me off for a long time is the plastic packaging.  Nonetheless, I gave them a try and found them to be great.  No funny aftertaste and they had a meatiness to them.  The texture was meaty too and it did feel like I was cutting into a chicken breast.  This would be great for Sunday dinner, midweek or even something more fancy such as Hunter's Chicken.  In fact, anything that you can think of that would use a chicken breast this would be fine for. Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 7th of March 2022  Goan curry is usually made with fish, but we don't want that do we: no.  As a vegan you have options for a substitute, you can either use a fish substitute or go all veg.  In this recipe, I decided to use tofu and a stack of veg, but you can use whatever option you like including banana blossom.  This is a mild curry, but can easily be heated up.

Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 28th of February 2022 This is a truly magnificent vegan burger! The way it cooked was great, and it even had what looked like blood coming out of it if you like that kind of thing.  Tasted great and was like meat.  I had it with chips, onion rings, salad and made some bang bang sauce to go with it.  Some vegan burgers have that vegan burger taste, but this burger didn't.  It reminded me of the plant chef burgers a little.  In addition, I found it juicy and succulent and can't wait to have another one.  I hope that you liked this blog and if you do try this recipe, please let me know how you got on and what it turned out like. Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 21st of February 2022 Why should any vegan miss out?  Well, we don't.  This is an amazing burger that will have you wanting more!  Tofu may not sound exciting, but when prepared correctly, which takes minimal effort, it happens to taste very meaty when fried.  You can make these burgers as big or as small as you like, or even double them up.
