Original Vegan Lasagna

Written by McDonald, T.   |  Updated 22nd of March 2022 There are two different types of vegan lasagna: one with lentils and one with chunky vegetables.  This recipe is for the one with lentils.  If you liked the meat lasagna, this might be that substitute you have been dreaming of finding.

Vegan Soda Bread

Written by McDonald, T.   |  Updated 21st of August 2023. Why not try this traditional Irish bread for St Patrick's Day? Soda bread gets its name from the bicarbonate of soda, which is used instead of yeast. This bread is great on its own, with some jam or just with some butter. St Patrick's Day is on the 17th of March this year (2022).

I Tried Meatless Farm Chicken Breasts

Image
Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 11th of March 2022 I had heard a lot about these on social media and decided to try them.  The thing that put me off for a long time is the plastic packaging.  Nonetheless, I gave them a try and found them to be great.  No funny aftertaste and they had a meatiness to them.  The texture was meaty too and it did feel like I was cutting into a chicken breast.  This would be great for Sunday dinner, midweek or even something more fancy such as Hunter's Chicken.  In fact, anything that you can think of that would use a chicken breast this would be fine for. What a fantastic chicken substitute!  I hope that you liked this blog and if you do try this product, please let me know how you got on and what it turned out like. Vegan Goan Curry

Image
Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 7th of March 2022  Goan curry is usually made with fish, but we don't want that do we: no.  As a vegan you have options for a substitute, you can either use a fish substitute or go all veg.  In this recipe, I decided to use tofu and a stack of veg, but you can use whatever option you like including banana blossom.  This is a mild curry, but can easily be heated up.
