Plant Pioneers Meat Free Roasting Joint: My thoughts

Written by McDonald, T.  |  Date 15th of April 2022

In short, brilliant!  This was so satisfying in every department.  Every bite had a firm bite to it and a somewhat meaty texture.

Plant Pioneer can be found in Sainsbury's supermarket in the UK.  The supermarket has a great range of vegan food and this is no exception.  It is mock meat rolled up with vegan stuffing in the middle.  My Mum got me this for Sunday dinner when I was visiting her.  I was very suppressed at just how good it was.

What is it made from?

As with many mock meats, it is made with a variety of things such as pea protein, flours and spices, but one of the biggest ingredients was mushrooms.  However, it didn't taste much like mushrooms.

I hope that you liked this blog and if you do try this recipe, please let me now how you got on and what it turned out like. You can leave a comment in the comments below.
