5 Top Curries For You To Try

Written by McDonald, T.  |  Date 1st of August 2022

Vegans need not give up curries; there are many different vegan curries to choose from.  Since they are home-made, you can make them as hot or as mild as you like.

Butter Curry

This is a fantastic mild curry that has become more popular in recent years.  It has an amazing creamy, buttery taste and you can use coconut milk, vegan cream or cashew cream to make it.  Like most curries, it is very east to make, and you can make it hotter if you like.  It is beautiful with rice or even chips.

Vegan Godzilla

Not one you are likely to have heard of, but this is one you need to try if you like it hot! Big succulent chucks of tofu with shredded cabbage beans and sultanas.

Bhuna NotGosht

This is another beauty that is made with cashew cream.  As a bonus, you can buy the Bhuna spice already made up to add to your convenience.  This is a favourite of mine because it is so tasty and easy to prepare.

Peanut Butter Curry

This is something special.  Beautiful creamy curry with a fantastic peanut butter taste.  Made with coconut milk, pea nutter butter and either tofu or Quorn pieces.  I really do like this, with the taste of cardamom seeds coming through lovely. Serve this with some homemade nan or flatbread and pineapple fried rice.

Cauliflower Tikka Masala

Different and tasty. As long as you get the cauliflower right, you will be laughing.  Roasted cauliflower used instead of chicken.  Who would have thought of that?
