Stewed Mushrooms, peppers and Onion

A very easy meal with little effort in a beautiful rich dark gravy.  This is one of my favourites that I like to have with rice.  I like it because it is so easy to make and so quick, yet it has a great flavour and goes so well with most rice dishes.  I find pineapple fried rice to be a great companion to this tasty dish.


Serves 3

Time – 1hr




  1. Make the stewing sauce. 
  2. Cut the peppers, mushrooms, and onion into bit sized chunks and add to the pot.
  3. Add the white pepper. 
  4. Heat until it starts to boil and turn down to a simmer.  Allow to stew on the hob for about an hour stirring occasionally.
Ready to stew.


I usually have this with rice.
