Aldi's Spicy No Chicken Burger

Written by McDonald, T.  |  Date 1st of February 2022

Like many other supermarkets, Aldi has its own brand exclusive to its stores called Plant Menu.  Plant menu have a range of vegan and vegetarian foods, but I will be writing about their Spicy No Chicken Burgers.

Price

Not bad at £1.99 for two burgers.  Each burger is about 9 cm in diameter and about 2.5 cm thick.  So £1 per burger does not seem that bad.

Packaging

This is not so good.  Although they con in a cardboard box, which is not so bad, they also are in a plastic bag inside the box.

Taste, texture and coating

All were very impressive.  This burger has a great coating, which is crispy and spicy.  Although the mock meat didn't taste like chicken, it did have that shredded chickeny texture.  The burger was great in a bun with some vegan mayonnaise and pickles.  To bit into it was a delight; it was crispy because of the coating, but softer on the inside.

Overall rating 5/5.
