6 Vegan Shampoo Bars To Choose From

By McDonald, T.  |  Date 20th of August 2021

Everyone knows the importance of personal care and grooming.  Whether you are a man or a woman, there are plenty of shampoos to choose from, but not all shampoos are vegan or Earth friendly.  One of the problems is the plastic packaging for the liquid soap.  This is a problem because the plastic either is incinerated or ends up in landfill and in turn is eaten by birds who mistake it for food resulting in the bird's eventual death. This makes it a problem for vegans since we wish no harm to the animals.  With this in mind, what shampoos can we use that are kind to the animals and friendly to the Earth? Well, the answer is vegan shampoo bars! All of these bars are cruelty and plastic free.

1.  Eco Warrior

Easily the best value for money.  Can be found in some supermarkets and in some chemists.  Smells great and does the job.  I have included this one because it is such good value.  It gets good reviews and comes in plastic free packaging.  I got two bars for £4!  Even when they are not on special offer, they are reasonably priced.  Diffidently worth a try.

2.  Seanik

Perhaps the best one I have tried so far.  This does a really good job of cleaning the hair and came naked, meaning it had no packaging at all.  It lasted for ages and gave a really laved up brilliantly.  At first, I thought it was a small bar, but i quickly realised that it didn't need much to get a rich creamy lather.

3.  Faith In Nature

This is becoming more readily available since it is stocked almost everywhere.  I have seen it in many supermarkets and even in charity shops as bought in goods (BIG).  Furthermore, I have use their soap bars for a long time and love them.  With that in mind, I included them in this listicle; however, i liked the soap better than this shampoo bar.

4.  Primal Suds

Diffidently one of my favourites!  It comes in three types for different hair: greasy, normal and dry.  Gets your hair really clean and makes it feel nice.  I found that it lasts a long time, but being a typical man i have short hair.  When i say a long time, i mean about 6 mouths or more making it fantastic value for money.

5.  Wild Sage + Co

I have not tried this, but it gets good reviews. One of its biggest selling points is that is comes naked, without packaging, as an option.

6.  Friendly

I have bought this for others as a present and they all liked it. Friendly comes in different varieties too.  It has a pleasant smell while washing in the shower and cleaned my hair well. Notably, it didn't leave my hair flyaway like other bars.
