By McDonald, T.   |  Date 12th of December 2020 Growing up I would often hear things like, 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness.'  This has deeper meaning than it first seems.  We can clean the house, tidy the rooms and we can rearrange things in a more organised way, but what about inside our hearts and minds? Cleaning the mind and house First, lets look at how we clean our homes.  We declutter areas, getting rid of all the things we don't need.  We tidy the shelves, we tidy the cupboards, we clean the cupboards under the stairs, but what about the cupboards and shelves in our minds?  What about all the stuff we have shelved for later because we can't deal with it now? Christingle Oats (Vegan)

By McDonald, T. | Date 1st of December 2020 Breakfast will never be the same with this delicious treat. You can eat this at any time of the day and it will be both stratifying and filling. The cranberries represent the blood of Christ who is the light in the world, the fruit and nuts represent the fruits of the Holy Spirit and the four seasons. The orange represents the world. 100% vegan. Serves 1 Ingredients 1/2 a cup of Rolled oats 1 cup of soya milk 1 tsp chia seeds Orange segments 1/4 of cinnamon 1/4 of nutmeg 4 Crushed walnuts 10g of pine nuts Steam ginger pieces 10g Cranberries berries 10g Sultanas A sprinkle of vegan chocolate beans 1/2 tsp of vanilla essence Salt to taste 1/2 tsp of sugar Apparatus A jar  A metal spoon  Method Put the 1/2 a cup of oats into the jar with the cranberries, sultanas, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar and the salt. Poor the milk in, add the vanilla essence and give it a good stir. Place in a fridge overnight.

The name zoodles is from a combination of the words noodles and zucchini, which is another word for courgette. You will never think about a courgette in the same way again! Yes, zoodles and zoghetti are that good. It is worth noting, the red veg in this dish make it suitable for Pentecost. The eager vegetables are packed in like the people for the festival when Peter preached to them after receiving the Holy Spirit in the upper room with Mary and the others.  100% Vegan. New Year Food Ideas

By McDonald, T.   |  Date 10th of November 2020 This time of year needs a great list of food and recipe ideas to choose from.  In the past it has been traditional to have meat dishes; however, veganism is more common these days.  So, if you are a vegan or have vegans to cater or, don't worry, I have included vegan options to the menu. By McDonald, T.   |  Date 30th of October 2020 Both the leak and the beetroot symbolise cutting of those or removing those that wish you harm and their bad intentions punished.  Can be served during Rosh Hosannah.  100% vegan Ingredients Beetroot Leak sliced Parsnips diced Carrots diced Courgette (zucchini) spiralized Red onion chopped Cherry tomatoes halved Sweet pepper sliced About 6 button mushrooms 1 tsp Garlic granules 1 tsp paprika 1 tablespoon of soya sauce 1 tsp of balsamic vinegar Salt and pepper Apparatus Large frying pan Sharp knife Chopping board  Method  Put everything in the frying pan with the exception of the beetroot and courgette. While the veg is lightly frying in the pan, spiralize the courgette and chop up the beetroot.  When the veg in the pan has softened, add the courgette with a very small amount of water and stir in.  Leave for 5 minutes with a lid on or until the courgette is cooked.  Add the beetroot and serve immediately.

However, there are three festivals that should be of interest to all Christians. The feast of Passover (Pesach) The feast of Weeks (Also called Pentecost or Shavuot) The feast of Booths (Sukkot or Feast of Tabernacles)  These festivals are the three harvest feasts for spring, summer and autumn. Why do Christians need to know about them? These are the three major festivals at the time of Jesus and are called the pilgrimage festivals: shalosh regalim. People from the Jewish faith would head to Jerusalem to celebrate these festivals. Moreover, these festivals also represent major events in the Bible for the Israelites all relating to Exodus. Seven Vegetable Couscous

By McDonald, T.   |  Date 3rd of October 2020  The couscous represents many blessing while the seven vegetables represents the seven days including the day of rest that it took to create the Earth. Ingredients 1/2 Carrot 1/4 Onion 1/4 Parsnip 1/2 Bell Pepper 1/4 Zucchini 3 small florets of Broccoli 4 button Mushrooms A few Sultanas 1/4 cup of Couscous 1/4 cup of Apple juice 1 tsp Balsamic vinegar 2 Gloves of garlic   1/2 tsp of Garlic granules 1/4 Chilli  5 Olives  pinch of Saffron Salt 3 tablespoons of chopped tomatoes Method  Soak the couscous overnight in the apple juice and some water with the sultanas .  Chop all the veg into small pieces and lightly fry in a frying pan for 8 minutes with the chopped garlic. Now add the chilli, olives and tomatoes Cook for anther 5-8 minutes stirring constantly until the couscous is hot.  Serve and eat while still hot.

Serves 1 Ingredients 1/2 a cup of rolled oats  1 cup of soya milk  1 tsp chia seeds  1/2 an apple diced 1/4 of cinnamon   4 Crushed walnuts 4 Chopped pecan nuts   10g Sultanas  A sprinkle pomegranate seeds 5g of goji berries 1/2 tsp of vanilla essence  Salt to taste 1 tablespoon of maple syrup Apparatus A jar A sharp knife Method Using a mortar and pestle, crush the chia seeds.  This allows the body to absorb more of the nutrients within the seeds.  Put all the dry ingredien
