Vegan Egg, Sausage, and Bacon Pie

Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 25th of September 2023   This is one of those recipes I used to make with my Nan as a boy.  It was always a favourite of mine and would only be made on special occasions.  This pie has a great combination of flavours without missing out on the oily textures associated with this classic 70s pie. Notes I used crackD egg alternative for the egg substitute. I used this isn't bacon lardons. I used naked taste vegan sausages. I used ready rolled short crust pastry for the store.  I found using a baking dish with a removable bottom helped a lot.  If the pastry domes when you blind bake it, prod it with a folk.    Makes a pie with dimensions of  Time, about 30 to 35 minutes. Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 18th of September 2023 I don't know about you, but I love a bit of apple sauce with my Sunday roast.   With this in mind, why not make your own apple sauce?  It is quick and easy to make and after all, this is apple season.  It takes less than half an hour and only have five ingredients.

Vegan Pizza Base Recipe

Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 11th of September 2023 Although I am not one to advocate for junk food, sometimes people like to have something different.  Pizza is by no means healthy even if it is vegan; nonetheless, it is fun to eat.  You can, of course, buy vegan pizzas these days, but it is never the same as making your own.  This is a great recipe for making a pizza base leaving only the toppings to be decided by you.   You have two options: Deep pan pizza base (Is like Italian flat bread and uses yeast) Thin and crispy pizza base (no yeast)

Orchard Apple Pie

Written by McDonald, T.   |  Date 4th of September 2023 I love a great apple pie!  This is easy and tasty.  So simple to make and so easy to eat.  Admittedly, I used the pre made pastry from a superstore because it is vegan relatively cheap and very convenient for me.  The apples come from a local orchard, which I stewed with sugar and spices to bring out the flavour.  I used dark brown sugar, which gave it a distinct flavour and its dark colour.
